Update and Misc. Stuff

Well, thanks for the overwhelming feedback on the rankings... ahem... I know, it's only tag teams and managers, but still? I mean, only three people bothered to reply? Just some more feedback would be nice for the next set... Though, I do have to commend your support of the site via clicking the ads. Thanks - the rate of clickage seems to go up everyday. It's a small thing, but hey... At least the ads are for related stuff.

One interesting thing that came from doing the rankings was that I made a listing of all the managers and tag teams out there to draw from... And surprisingly found that there's quite a good number in both categories, despite the going thought of each type dying. For tag teams, there were 35 in all and it seems almost every major fed had a division that they were trying to grow.

The managers list was more surprising. Now, when I took managers, I looked at it in a very broad sense: typical managers, valets, stooges, non-wrestler underlings, and even a couple inanimate objects that have been named... But all have been developed into some sort of character that support the main wrestler. When I ranked the managers, though, I went very narrow in scope and tried to rank only those who played the role of manager primarily, did some talking and/or scheming, and didn't/couldn't fight for themselves. I think I did that pretty well, with most of the ones failing in any of those criteria - yet still quality - going into an honorable mention. But in all, there were 38 manager characters going today. Very impressive.

Anyway, besides all that, next week we will have the biggun! The top wrestlers will be ranked next week. I haven't decided on fifteen or twenty-five, but rest assured you will have your top wrestler rankings next week. So be on the look out for that!

What feds you all following to decide it, Bren? There are so many feds active right now and an over abundance of RCW guys might set some people back a bit.

This was list of feds I took a look at for the past ranking:

RCW
UWF
JJG
EPW
PPW
PCW
USJP
MLW
WANA

I think that constitutes a pretty wide array of talent. I can't stomach either IGA or WILD [I think actually reading both would cause a serious coma]... PWU hasn't really started yet, so I can't judge them much. DCWL? Bleh...

That said, most likely? Yeah, a good percentage of guys will come from UWF and RCW. Why? Well, just look at the rosters - they've got a great number of the best out there.

Don't be discouraged by a low amount of feedback. Many people are intimidated (for lack of a better word) when it comes to multi-fed rankings because they don't read a whole lot of e-feds.

Also, tags/managers is a tough one to comment on, because not every fed has them. WANA, for example, has no tag division. JJG doesn't have a functional tag division yet. The smaller the stock to choose from, the harder it is to take issue or make productive comment.

I'm in as many feds now as I've ever been (and running my own for the first time), but even so, I can only speak for, at best five places. So I give you a lot of credit for doing this.

Even so, I must concur that RCW is pretty damn stacked. Hard to imagine there's enough better out there to keep them from grabbing a lot of spots in any ranking.

No doubt they would and I wouldn't be shocked or surprised or even the least bit upset. They got MOST of the best talent.

A lot of the feds are brand new too. Hard to rank say PPW guys when most haven't been active for a while. Some have been on 3 flash shows starting tonight. Hopefully before next rankings I'll have the next Primetime out.

As for IGA and WILD... BLECH. DCWL isn't everyone's soup either. I just happen to be friends with most of the handlers. They're the group I started with in e-w.

Off the top of my head I couldn't even do a top 15 myself. You're much braver then I. I actually do follow all those feds. Am just starting to follow WANA and MLW, run PPW, am in RCW and EPW, read UWF all the tim, like JJG though new to the list, PCW is new but weekly?! Holy god. I think I might join it just because of that. I am in USJP.

Good stuff as usual! As the lone tag team in JJG some of those 30+ teams you mentioned needs to come on over!

I was glad to see Darius Walker slide in there. Rob does a good job with him.

Even with running PCW I'd have to agree with the talent level of UWF and RCW. You could almost do a top 15 with those two feds. Keep up the good work Bren and I'll keep clicking those add's heh!

Maybe a spotlight (focusing on pros & cons) on one new fed a month? We could place bets to see how long it lasts... ;) (I'm looking at you, NAWC)

Push comes to shove, you could have that as a guest feature.
